Component Removal and Replacement

R220 - X-Axis Idler Pulley

Table of Contents

1. Power OFF and unplug the PLS.

2. Remove #2 mirror cover by removing

the thumbscrew and sliding the cover

to the right and up.

3. Loosen the three screws (3) (1/2 turn)

that mount the tensioning bracket (2).

Also, back off the setscrew (1) until

the tip does not make contact (this

will partially release the tension on

the belt) but do not remove the screw

completely.

4. Once the tension has been released

remove the screws on the Idler Pulley.

Remove the pulley and replace it with

a new one.

5. When reinstalling the new Idler Pulley

insert the pulley in at an angle for

easier access.

6. Retention the X-Axis Belt.

7. Replace the #2 Mirror Cover and screws.
