Filling the Oil Sump

Add fresh oil through the oil filler cap on the valve

cover (refer

the photographs on pages 5 and 6

for

the location

the oil filler

cap

and lube oil

dipstick). After

refilling the oil, run the engine for a

few moments while checking the engine's oil pres-

sure. Ensure there

leakage around the new

oil filter

from the oil drain system, and then stop

the engine. Then check the quantity

oil wtth the

lube oil dipstick. Fill to, but not over, the high mark

on the dipstick, should the engine require additlon-

aloil.

NOTE: Immediately after an oil filter change

and oil fill, run the engine

ensure that the

oil pressure is normal and that there are

oil leaks around the new oil filter. Check the

oil pressure

observing the oil pressure

gauge in your instrument panel.
