STOPPING PROCEDURE

Remove the AC

the

STOP switch,

Break-In Precautions

Because

the

generator set operates

1800 rpm

produce

Hertz,

1500 rpm

50 Hertz,

control

the

generator's engine break-in is governed

the

current

drawn

from

the

generator,

not

attempt

break-in

your

generator set

running it

without

a load,

Upon

starting

the

generator set,

check

for

proper operation and then encourage a fast warm-up,

For

the

first 10

hours

the

generator's operation, run the generator set between 20 and 60 percent

lull-load,

After

the

first

hours

the

generator's operation,

the

load

may

increased

the

rated lull-load

output

Periodically vary

the

load,

Avoid overload

all times, An overload is signalled

voltage and

frequency,

Monitor

the

current being

drawn

from

the

generator and keep it within

generator's rating,

Follow the procedure below

for

routine starting of

the

generator:

Check

the

engine's lubricating oil level prior

each day's use, Add oil as needed and maintain

the

oii level

the high

mark

the

dipstick,

Check

the

coolant level in

the

plastic recovery tank,

NOTE:

Excessive loss

fresh water coolant from

the

plastic recovery

lank

indicates a

cool-

ing system leak,

Check

the

entire cooling system; pressurize the system

locate the

leak

In cases

excessive

coolant

loss,

Ihe

system must

refilled as outlined under

the

"PREPARATIONS FOR STARTING" section

this manual, page 35,

Visually

examine

the

unit;

look

lor

any

abnormalities and correct

them

as needed,

Checkto

is sufficient fuel in the

tank

and examine

the

filter/separator bowls

contaminants,

Clean

and drain

the

bowls

as needed,

Start

the

generator, following the

procedure

outlined in the "STARTING PROCEDURES" section

pre-

vious page, and allow

lhe

engine's operating temperature

reach 130 - 150" F (55 - 66"

before placing

the

generator

under

a heavy load,
